I always thought biodynamic was a bit fussy anyway, the described way of making compost sounds great to me. Check out "one Straw Revolution" its an even better way called "do nothing farming". In the city though I think you pretty much have to make compost due to a lack of japanese rice straw. Back to “me”. Without the Biodynamic preparations (502, 3, 4, 5, 6), the compost simply isn't BD.
